Short version: we do not collect your QR data, we do not use tracking cookies, and we do not sell anything about you.
QR content stays on your device
QR codes are generated locally in your browser. The URL, Wi-Fi password, contact details, message, or any other content you encode is never sent to our servers. We could not read it if we tried.
What we collect
We collect basic, aggregated server logs (request paths, response codes, rough timing) to keep the site running and spot abuse. These logs do not include the content of QR codes.
We do not set tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or a similar cross-site identifier.
Advertising
qrgen shows ads from EthicalAds and Carbon Ads. Both networks serve ads contextually based on the page topic, not on personal profiles, and they do not set tracking cookies on your browser. Because of that, we do not need a cookie consent banner under GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive.
Third parties
Our site is hosted on Vercel. Fonts are served from Google Fonts via Vercel's CDN. These providers may receive your IP address and user agent as part of normal HTTP delivery. They do not receive your QR content.
Your rights
Because we do not store personal information about you, there is nothing to access, delete, or export.

If we change how this site works in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the date below.
